We sat down to talk to Reg (Trevor) Abraham, Magic Lands Producer, Indigenous Heritage and Culture Advisor. Reg is a proud Gunditjmara man with direct bloodline connections from Chief Mannalargenna of Tasmania, extending through to, Bunurong, Yorta Yorta and Waddawurrung country. At eighteen, he began his 40-year career in service to Culture at Wathaurong Co-Op Geelong. He is currently employed as Senior Cultural Advisor and Protected Areas Manager at Wurdi Youang. Reg provides Community Representation by Consultation (and as a keynote Conference Speaker), runs Cultural Awareness Training Programs, and conducts Cultural Land Management Activities. Reg speaks in this video about the importance of the project to truth-telling, history, treaty, reconciliation, black lives matters and the Aboriginal communities.
